A classically-trained pianist, West Byrd began honing his prodigious talent at the tender age of five. Eventually gravitating toward the music of jazz legends such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Keith Jarrett, West reflects their greatness in his unique artistry.

 Having written and collaborated on many award-winning album including several Billboard #1's, his style and expertise has afforded him the opportunity to be seen on stages around the world with A-list artists such as Stevie Wonder, Sheila E, Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne, Chanté Moore, Will Downing, Nathan East, and Mike Phillips to name a few.

 West currently has two full length albums, his latest being "A West Byrd Christmas," which showcases a new spin on timeless holiday classics and some originals composed and arranged by West. With a professional career that spans almost two decades, West has been instrumental in creating live experiences for some of the world's most renowned artists, and now, it's his turn in the spotlight, SOLŌ.
